Key Responsibilities:

Customer and Instrument Support:

Provide both onsite and remote assistance to troubleshoot and repair sophisticated electro-mechanical scientific instruments within laboratory settings. Candidates should possess basic laboratory skills and be adept at preparing samples for testing as necessary. This position requires extensive travel.

Scheduling, Administration, and Inventory Management:

Operate independently with minimal oversight. Responsibilities include managing customer appointments through to completion, creating detailed technical documentation, and submitting service reports and expense claims in a timely manner. Additionally, manage personal inventory to facilitate effective repairs and field support.

Collaboration with Sales and Applications Teams:

Work in partnership with the sales team to assist with pre- and post-sales inquiries. Provide support to the field applications team, both remotely and onsite, to resolve complex customer challenges efficiently.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Fluent in both Business English and Italian
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in an engineering or science discipline, or a minimum of 5 years of experience in a high-tech environment
  • At least 5 years of experience in the industrial or scientific sector, ideally within a related field
  • Proficient in personal computer repair and strong familiarity with Windows and Microsoft applications
  • Willingness to travel extensively, approximately 90% of the time
