About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to provide surgical instruments and supplies for procedures and cases. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for decontaminating, cleaning, processing, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing reusable instruments and medical devices.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and test instruments to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Assemble and package instruments for sterilization.
  • Operate automated and non-automated processing equipment.
  • Follow manufacturer's instructions and system policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to physicians, nurses, and medical staff.
Requirements
  • 6 months experience in an operating room, medical device reprocessing role, or related role.
  • Completion of an approved Fairview Sterile Processing training program.
  • Preferred: Graduate of a Central Service program, Accredited Surgical Technologist program, or Licensed Practical Nurse program.
  • Preferred: Two years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician, Surgical Technologist, or in a medical device reprocessing role.
  • Preferred: Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification.
