Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Epic Systems Lead to join our team at Christus Health. As a key member of our Information Services department, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the efforts and content within the designated focus area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Coordination: Provide oversight for applications support, including Incident, Problem, Request, and Change Management.
  • Team Management: Demonstrate leadership for the team to consistently provide strong, high-quality outcomes to end-users and stakeholders.
  • Application Expertise: Demonstrate an expert level of application understanding and apply expertise to help meet customer goals and outcomes.
  • Project Management: Lead process and requirement analysis, including process mapping, documenting plans, requirements elicitation, stakeholder analysis, and specification gathering on complex projects.
  • Business Development: Develop business relationships with key client administrators based on trust and leverage relationships to gain new project insight and new business opportunities.
  • Communication: Act as a customer liaison, working with end-users or business contacts to understand business needs and communicate the requirements and timelines.
  • Process Improvement: Lead the focus area workgroups, providing oversight for related processes and manage communication between application teams as appropriate.
  • Professional Development: Pursue professional growth and development through personal reading, seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of trends in the field of expertise.
Requirements
  • Education: Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred with a focus in healthcare, business, or information systems.
  • Experience: 5-7 years of experience within supported healthcare, business, or information systems.
  • Skills: Problem-solving skills, multitasking skills, ability to adjust to and implement change, proficient in Microsoft applications, excellent customer service skills, and highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Certifications: Certified or proficient in assigned Epic module (must be obtained within 6 months of employment date).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supervisory Experience: Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Project Management Experience: Preferred 2+ years project management experience or equivalent.
  • Functional Supervision: May have functional supervision responsibilities of other team members.
  • Performance Reviews: May provide input into performance reviews and corrective actions for team members.
  • Scheduling: May recommend and coordinate scheduling of work assignments, daily priorities, and directing the work of team members.
