Key Responsibilities- Patient Care
- Assist physicians with various aspects of patient care, including clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.
- Ensure patient satisfaction by providing a high level of care and attention to detail.
- Administrative Support
- Accompany patients to exam/procedure rooms and assist with walking, transfers, and other tasks as needed.
- Collect patient information/history, take vitals, and perform screenings per provider guidelines.
- Relay instructions to patients/families and ensure they understand their care plan.
- Clinical Support
- Prepare and manage charts to ensure information is completed and filed appropriately.
- Schedule appointments and verify insurance coverage and patient demographics.
- Prepare patient rooms, set up instruments and equipment according to department protocol.
- Regulatory Compliance
- Comply with requirements of appropriate regulatory agencies, including OSHA, CLIA, and PA Department of Health.
- Maintain strict confidentiality related to medical records and other data.
- Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic, and treatment room responsibilities.
- Licensure and Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is required.
- Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting, Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73 FBI Clearance are also required.
- Work Environment
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced clinical environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Must be able to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed.
