Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Senior Pre-Owned Inventory Advisor to join our team at Rivian. As a key member of our inventory management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process of vehicle reconditioning, ensuring that our pre-owned vehicles meet the highest quality standards. Your expertise will be crucial in optimizing partner efficiency, achieving internal goals, and driving improvements in inventory management and refurbishment processes.

Responsibilities
  • Oversight of the end-to-end process of vehicle reconditioning from acquisition to final quality assurance.
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure timely reconditioning and availability of vehicles.
  • Coordinate with internal service locations and third-party partners to ensure efficient and effective reconditioning operations.
  • Monitor and enforce quality standards throughout the reconditioning process.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure that vehicles meet Rivian's quality criteria.
  • Implement corrective actions and process improvements as needed to address quality issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with third-party reconditioning partners.
  • Evaluate partner performance based on efficiency, quality, and adherence to contractual agreements.
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Implement best practices and process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce cycle times.
  • Ensure adherence to internal goals, KPIs, and compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with internal teams such as Procurement, Logistics, and Quality Assurance to ensure seamless operations.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on inventory status, reconditioning progress, and partner performance.
  • Train and mentor team members and partners on best practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the team.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management, operations, or a related role within the automotive industry at either an Automotive OEM or a major used vehicle retailer.
  • Proven experience managing third-party vendors or partner and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle reconditioning processes and quality standards.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working with and full knowledge of electric vehicles.
  • Project Management experience is a plus.
