About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Patient Revenue Optimization Specialist to join our team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing the overall policies, objectives, and initiatives of our revenue cycle activities. Your primary focus will be on optimizing the patient financial interaction along the care continuum, ensuring efficient billing, scheduling, and account collection processes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, plan, organize, and implement current and future strategies to bill customers, process payments, minimize bad debt, improve cash flow, and manage the overall health of our receivables.
  • Serve as a resource to senior management, operations directors, billing managers, and staff on revenue cycle performance.
  • Manage all activities related to revenue cycle performance to meet short-term strategic goals.
  • Develop strategic plans and programs for the Revenue Cycle process and ensure that goals and objectives are properly defined and clearly established.
  • Develop policies, guidelines, and procedures and ensure consistent company-wide implementation.
  • Plan and direct registration, patient insurance, billing, and collections and data processing to ensure accurate patient billing, scheduling, and efficient account collection.
  • Set clear production expectations and quality standards for receptionist, patient service representative, and business office teams.
  • Enhance and standardize workflow processes throughout the revenue cycle to assist in achieving consistency in maintaining the critical success factors outlined in our standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor effectiveness of collection efforts and maintain insurance billings are current within the established timeframe specified in the department policy.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as healthcare administration or finance.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in healthcare management, including clinic management, patient management, or accounts receivable.

Estimated Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year
