Job Summary: At Great Plains Health, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Function Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for evaluating and treating patients of all ages and diagnoses, with the goal of restoring function after an injury, illness, or developmental delay.

About the Role:

  • Evaluate patients to assess their medical needs and develop personalized treatment plans to prevent disability due to an injury or illness.
  • Modify and update treatment plans as necessary to achieve maximal improvement in patient outcomes.
  • Recognize when patients are ready for discharge and develop a comprehensive discharge plan to ensure a smooth transition to home or other care settings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress and treatment plans to support billing and reimbursement.
  • Manage a caseload consistent with industry standards, prioritizing patient needs and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and principles in occupational therapy through ongoing education and professional development.
  • Mentor students and complete necessary paperwork to support training and education initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams across various healthcare settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and school-based environments.
  • Adhere to rehabilitation billing regulations and productivity targets, ensuring compliance and optimal revenue cycle management.

Salary Information: The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
