About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Commercial Credit Risk Manager to lead the independent credit risk management of the Equipment Finance (EF) portfolio at LendingClub Bank, as well as oversight of credit extension in the Small Business Lending segment. This role requires a strong understanding of credit risk management principles and practices, as well as excellent analytical and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct periodic credit reviews on all credit exposures in the EF portfolio, assign risk ratings, and coordinate independent loan reviews by external auditors.
  • Develop and implement effective credit risk management strategies to minimize losses and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the loss forecasting team to provide quantitative and qualitative input to the process for allowance for credit loss (CECL).
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver annual operating and strategic plans.
  • Formulate and maintain credit policy practices and standard operating procedure manuals, ensuring consistency with bank guidelines and regulations.
About You
  • 6+ years of progressive experience in financial services and credit risk management, with emphasis on Small Business and Commercial lending.
  • Line of business functional practitioner with domain knowledge in small business or commercial lending, sound credit judgment, and keen understanding of financial statements.
  • Effective collaborator, negotiator, and team player with a versatile interpersonal style.
  • Operator with keen attention to detail, results-orientation, and strategic mindset.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

We are currently working a hybrid schedule and our teams are in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.

Compensation
The target base salary range for this position is $135,000-$160,000. The position is also eligible to receive a bonus, equity, and benefits. Our salary ranges, other compensation, and benefits offered are determined by role, experience level, and location.
