Senior Estimator for Healthcare Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at E-Frontiers, a leading construction firm specializing in healthcare projects. As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in preparing detailed cost estimates for healthcare construction projects, ranging from small renovations to large-scale new builds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for healthcare construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Review architectural drawings, specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop comprehensive project budgets.
  • Lead pre-construction and planning activities, including cost analysis, value engineering, and risk assessment.
  • Source and negotiate with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality deliverables.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of material and labor costs, ensuring that estimates reflect current market conditions.
  • Provide support during project bidding, including preparation of bid packages and participation in bid evaluations.
  • Attend project meetings and site visits as needed to ensure alignment with project scope and cost objectives.
  • Track and report on project costs, identifying potential cost savings and areas for improvement.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to healthcare construction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (preferred).
  • 10-15 years of experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, with specific experience in healthcare projects.
  • Proven track record of managing estimates for large-scale healthcare construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare-specific building codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Planswift, ProEst) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with project teams, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
