Job Title: Senior Controls Engineer

At Synerfac, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and functioning of controls equipment to current safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement plans for engineering projects, including design, project controls, and specifications.
  • Create and implement processes to increase plant efficiency, working closely with other departments and external parties.
  • Design and develop mechanical and electrical projects to support site goals for productivity, cost efficiency, reliability, and safety.
  • Manage capital engineering projects to meet defined budget and schedule.
  • Specify equipment and manage physical installation during moves and upgrades.
  • Provide technical support to plant maintenance groups, including installation, troubleshooting, process control, and repair of equipment.
  • Draft and manage all engineering drawings.
  • Participate in Kaizen events and identify areas of improvement.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years overall manufacturing experience.
  • Self-starter with ability to work alone or in a team environment with limited supervision.
  • Extensive knowledge of advanced machine control concepts and programming of Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs.
  • Ability to evaluate controls engineering problems, solve controls issues independently, and investigate technical problems and establish procedures and/or corrective actions to avoid reoccurrences.
  • Proven Project Management skills and effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Computer skills (MS Office, AutoCAD or SOLIDWORKS, RSLogix, Siemens TIA Portal) required.
