As a seasoned Litigation Attorney at Melone Hatley PC, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering exceptional results in family law and estate planning.

Role Description

This role requires a highly skilled attorney with a passion for advocacy and a strong understanding of legal procedures. Your primary responsibilities will include representing clients in court proceedings, conducting thorough legal research, and drafting complex legal documents.

Salary Range:$160,000 - $220,000 per year

Location:Charlotte, NC

Key Accountabilities
  1. Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiate settlements.
  2. Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to support cases.
  3. Draft and review pleadings, motions, contracts, and other legal documents.
  4. Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
  5. Stay up-to-date on changes in the law and relevant procedures.
  6. Manage caseloads and meet deadlines efficiently.
  7. Develop and implement effective legal strategies.
  8. Promote the firm's reputation through professional organizations and associations.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the North Carolina state bar.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in litigation, preferably in family law.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong oral advocacy and negotiation abilities.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Familiarity with state court procedures.
