Accounts Payable Operations Coordinator

The Accounts Payable Operations Coordinator will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of accounts payable processes for the Latin American region. This position is responsible for receiving, processing, and verifying invoices, as well as resolving vendor inquiries in a timely manner.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely and accurate payments according to contractual terms
- Entering invoices into the accounting system, ensuring correct approval, coding, and matching, as well as verifying receipt of materials or services and confirming prices and quantities with vendor invoices
- Monitoring the shared inbox for supplier invoices and conducting daily reviews of the AP workflow and parked invoices to ensure timely processing within approval and payment terms
- Researching payable questions for both internal and external customers, taking appropriate action when necessary, and supporting all areas of accounts payable in resolving vendor accounts related to outstanding invoices
- Assisting in month-end closing activities and working closely with other departments, such as procurement and finance, to ensure seamless operations
- Identifying improvement opportunities and supporting their implementation, as well as assisting with ongoing projects for the implementation of technology solutions
- Providing supporting documentation for audits and being willing to participate in any capacity to support the Finance function
Requirements for this role include:
- Previous experience in an accounts payable environment
- Fluency in English and Spanish is required
- Proven computer skills, and experience using SAP is a plus
- Strong coordination, communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills are required, with the ability to work effectively with all levels and functions
- A self-starter with a proactive approach to supporting internal and external partners, and the ability to meet all deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to pay close attention to detail and possess a high degree of customer orientation
- Ability to problem-solve, assess issues holistically, and make sound decisions for the company
- Foster good teamwork and interpersonal relationships
Desired qualifications for this role include:
- SAP experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is desired but not required
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
