Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections, maintenance, and construction of new facilities.
- Perform general repairs, installations, and service tasks.
- Execute preventive maintenance checks and biannual roof assessments at multiple locations.
- Utilize a variety of hand and power tools effectively.
- Collaborate with other Facility Maintenance Technicians to tackle complex projects.
- Complete work requests promptly and professionally.
- Manage company vehicle and fuel card responsibly.
- Engage in ongoing educational opportunities through U-Haul University.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic experience in electrical, A/C, HVAC, plumbing, or landscaping. (Ensure relevant experience is detailed in your resume)
- Valid driver's license (Company vehicle provided)
- Availability for weekend and holiday shifts
- D.O.T certification (can be sponsored by U-Haul)
Work Environment:
This position involves moderate risks or discomforts that necessitate special safety precautions, such as working near moving machinery, fumes, or irritant chemicals. Protective gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields may be required.
Physical Demands:
The role requires physical exertion, including prolonged periods of standing, moving throughout various spaces, and lifting a minimum of 50 lbs, with or without assistance.
