Position Overview

We are seeking a Research Associate II (In Vivo) to become a part of our Insourcing Solutions team.

Key Responsibilities

This pivotal position involves executing essential in vivo techniques and supporting the advancement of our clients' drug research and development initiatives. A successful candidate will possess extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with in vivo laboratory methods. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting routine animal care and technical support.
  • Assisting in various in vivo research projects.
  • Demonstrating proficiency in fundamental in vivo laboratory techniques, such as blood collection, injections, and tissue processing.
  • Participating in experimental design and planning, as well as assembling and operating necessary experimental equipment.
  • Executing laboratory procedures in accordance with established protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintaining precise records of animal health and experimental processes, and preparing data for project reports.
  • Exhibiting strong technical knowledge in your assigned area of responsibility.
  • Managing small studies and training staff independently.

You will be expected to perform techniques including oral gavage in rodents, various injection methods, blood collection from different sites, and necropsy with tissue collection. Experience with cell and molecular biology techniques to analyze interactions between cells, tissues, and biomaterials is also required.

Qualifications

Who We Are Looking For:

Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a Life Science discipline, such as biology or veterinary science, along with four (4) years of relevant experience; OR possess a CVT/LVT/RVT certification with four (4) years of directly related experience in laboratory animal care and technical skills; OR have a High School diploma/GED with six (6) years of directly related experience. Immuno-oncology experience is essential. Note: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. AALAS Certification at the LATG level is preferred.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is competitive and varies based on factors such as experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.

Vaccine Requirement

This role involves servicing clients that require full COVID-19 vaccination for employees. Proof of vaccination will be mandatory for all employees working with these clients.
