Operating Room Registered Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative team at Health First Medical Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities- Quality/No Harm:
- Deliver safe and effective patient care, adhering to evidence-based practices and standards of professional nursing.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize Health First's computer systems to document patient care and communicate with the team.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and satisfaction.
- Stewardship:
- Manage resources efficiently, ensuring the effective use of equipment and supplies.
- Customer Experience:
- Provide patient education and support to promote informed decision-making and positive outcomes.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to patient needs and concerns with empathy and respect.
- Education:
- Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required. BSN highly preferred.
- Licensure:
- Current Florida RN licensure or endorsement.
- Certification:
- Must hold current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider Completion Card prior to start date and maintain.
- AHA ACLS / PALS required.
- Certification(s) as required by specific unit.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year RN perioperative/prep & discharge experience preferred.
- Solid assessment skills required.
- Must meet unit specific care requirements.
- Language:
- Must be able to speak / understand written and verbal instructions in the English language.
- Must have visual acuity and hand–eye coordination to perform clinical tasks.
- Must have corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
- Must be able to lift, turn, pull, push or ambulate patients/equipment up to 90% of the assigned shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds unassisted up to 33% of the assigned shift.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop up to 90% of assigned shift.
- Potential for exposure to bio–hazardous waste, and known or unknown diseases.
This is a part-time position working 6:00 am – 2:30 pm. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment with patients/families at various ages and levels of understanding.
