About the Role

Abnormal Security is a leading provider of cloud-based cybersecurity products, trusted by enterprises of all sizes to stop cybercrime. As we continue to grow and expand our offerings, we need a skilled Site Reliability Engineer II to help us build tools and processes for releasing software and ensuring reliability and availability in heavily restricted environments.

This is a unique opportunity to empower the rest of the engineering team to stop cybercrime and make a significant impact on the company's success. You will work closely with a small team of infrastructure and product engineers to execute the process of change and release management in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement tools for releasing the company's cybersecurity product suite in a restricted environment (AWS GovCloud).
  • Collaborate with the infrastructure and product teams to develop and maintain observability pipelines and integrations, define and monitor SLAs/SLOs for critical systems, and actively track deviations and trigger alerts when necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, responsible for the reliability of shared services.
  • Experience with container orchestration, preferably Kubernetes and Helm.
  • Experience developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) modules and building automation, preferably Terraform.
  • Experience with a public cloud provider (AWS, Azure, GCP), observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana), and incident management tools (PagerDuty, Sentry, Slack integration).
Nice to Have
  • Experience working in environments designed to meet Federal compliance framework requirements such as FedRAMP and DoD SRG.
  • Experience building and managing infrastructure in AWS GovCloud.

Abnormal Security offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $147,000-$173,000 USD, bonus, restricted stock units (RSUs), and benefits. Individual compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
