Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to the healthcare team at Frye Regional Hickory Cardiology Assoc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the assessment of patient needs and health plans by taking vital signs, medical history, medication listings, and visual acuity.
  • Complete necessary documentation in the patient's medical record in accordance with practice policies.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians with medical treatments, exams, and procedures.
  • Administer prescribed oral medications and give injections as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment for patients and visitors.
  • Comply with established personal protective equipment requirements.
  • Arrange for specialized consultations and appointments as ordered by physicians.
  • Answer office phones and assist with scheduling appointments.
  • Assist with patient check-out and referral processing.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program required.
  • Current credentialing (certification/registration) with American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA-CMA), NRCMA, or American Medical Technologists (AMT-RMA) required.
