Job Title: Counselor - High School

At Arlington ISD, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Counselor - High School to join our team. As a key member of our educational community, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of our students.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive school counseling program that promotes student success.
  • Guide individual or group students through the development of educational and career plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention counseling as needed.
  • Plan, promote, and/or support programs that enhance the academic, social, and/or emotional growth of students.
  • Consult, facilitate, and maintain communication with parents, teachers, administrators, and pertinent stakeholders on specific student and parent academic and educational matters.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree from an Accredited College or University.
  • Valid Texas School Counselor's Certification.
  • Two years teaching experience required, or school district counseling experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the four components within The Texas Model for Comprehensive School Counseling Programs.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of concepts, principles, and methodologies of school counseling.
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication.
Working Conditions:

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and maintain emotional control under stress.
