Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Nurse - Junior High School to join our team at Arlington ISD. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing district health services programs, providing health services to students, and promoting health and safety education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement district health services program to best meet the needs of the student population on the assigned campus.
  • Provide health services to students, including direct care, health counseling, and instruction.
  • Assess student problems, communicate with parents, and ensure appropriate referrals and follow-up as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans (IHPs) and evaluate outcomes of skilled and direct nursing care and procedures for medically fragile students.
  • Ensure that medications are administered to students according to district policy and procedures.
  • Establish and implement effective procedures for carrying out mandatory screening programs.
  • Participate in development of campus health education curriculum and educate staff on health-related topics.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice nursing in the State of Texas
  • Valid CPR certification within the past 2 years
  • Valid Vision, Hearing, Acanthosis Nigricans and Spinal Screening certification within the last 5 years
  • At least 3 years' experience in nursing
