Job Overview

We seek a dynamic professional to join our Steam Plant Chemistry team as an Intermediate Chemist and Chemical Engineer. In this role, you will:

  • Solve cleanliness control issues in naval nuclear steam plants.
  • Conduct trials, tests, and experiments to support engineering, production, and R&D activities.
  • Analyze data from various sources, including experiments and studies.
  • Develop recommendations and prepare comprehensive documented observations and analyses.
  • Improve processes and technologies to achieve cost-effectiveness and quality.

Responsibilities

This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to evaluate data to draw conclusions about chemistry trends. You will work in a fast-paced environment supporting the Navy.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering or science from an accredited college or university with 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree with 1 year of experience; or EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or SRE qualified.

Preferred Skills

Proficiency in reading fluid system drawings, ability to work in a cross-functional team, excellent written and oral communication skills, and a strong performance record of leading complex work efforts.

Compensation Package

$76,400 - $117,000 annually. Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based on candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
