Job Overview

This role supports the Steam Plant Chemistry team as a Chemical Engineer and Intermediate Chemist. Key responsibilities include:

  • Solving cleanliness control issues in Naval nuclear steam plants.
  • Conducting trials, tests, and experiments for engineering, production, and R&D activities.
  • Analyzing data from various sources, such as experiments and studies.
  • Developing recommendations and preparing comprehensive documented observations, analyses, and interpretations of results.
  • Establishing operating equipment specifications.

Responsibilities

This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, ability to evaluate data, and multitasking within a fast-paced environment supporting the Navy.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree and 1 year of relevant experience; or Currently or previously EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or SRE qualified.

Preferred Skills

Proficiency at reading fluid system drawings, ability to work in cross-functional teams, excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong performance record of leading complex efforts to conclusion.

Compensation

$76,400 - $117,000 annually. Salary based on candidate experience and qualifications, market and business considerations.
