Classification and Control Specialist

The Classification Supervisor will play a critical role in ensuring the proper handling and protection of sensitive information. This position requires excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to develop and implement effective classification policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and interpret local classification and controlled information guidance.
- Initiate and conduct classification and declassification reviews for NNPP documents.
- Analyze reports, publications, and other materials to identify classified or sensitive information.
- Supervise special declassification activities and audits.
- Provide classification and sensitive information guidance to employees and subcontractors.
- Train and certify DCs and UCNI Reviewing Officials, analysts and archivists.
- Develop and deliver educational programs on classification and sensitive information.
- Conduct programmatic self-assessments related to security protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (Professional 3) or Master's degree (Professional 4) in a relevant field.
- 5+ years of experience (Professional 3) or 8+ years of experience (Professional 4) with at least 3 years related to classification.
- A background in classification, nuclear weapons, or Navy Fuel is preferred.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance and a SCI Briefing.
- Must be able to obtain DOE HQ certification as a Classification Analyst and Derivative Declassifier.
Compensation:
$105,000 - $115,000 per year. Benefits include hybrid remote/office work environment, employer-paid medical, dental and vision care, low-cost family health care, federal holidays and three weeks' vacation, 401(k) with employer match, and cross-training opportunities.
