About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at LHC Group. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for following all state-specific laws governing the provision of physical therapy in home care, and for performing only those procedures that you are qualified and trained to perform.
  • You will instruct and aid patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of the physical therapy assistant and according to the state laws governing physical therapy assistants.
  • You will observe, record, and report to the supervising PT, the nurse supervisor, and/or the physician the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition.
  • You will coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team as appropriate.
  • You will instruct patients, family, caregivers, and other members of the healthcare team in the areas of therapy within the scope of the physical therapy assistant.
  • You will visit patients within the entire service area of your respective agency and other nearby LHC agencies as needed.
  • You will complete a progress note for each visit and submit progress notes per LHC policy.
  • You will participate in staff conferences and committees as requested by the agency.
  • You will adhere to LHC Therapy Standards of Practice in provision of services to all patients.
  • You will participate in a weekend rotation to provide services for your respective agency and other nearby LHC agencies as needed.
Requirements
  • You must be currently licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in the state of MA.
  • You must have current CPR certification.
  • You must have a current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
