Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join our electrical construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing electrical projects across a wide range of sectors, including commercial, healthcare, entertainment, office buildings, hotels, government, schools, retail, special projects, industrial, multi-family, and residential developments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Planning & Coordination:
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies for electrical construction projects.
    • Coordinate with architects, engineers, general contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and quality.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor project teams including electricians, subcontractors, and support staff.
    • Ensure effective communication across all team members and foster a collaborative working environment.
  • Budget & Cost Management:
    • Prepare project budgets and track costs throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
  • Risk Management:
    • Anticipate potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure all safety standards and regulations are adhered to, conducting safety audits when necessary.
  • Client Communication & Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and providing regular updates on project status.
    • Ensure client satisfaction by addressing concerns, clarifying project requirements, and managing expectations.
  • Permits, Documentation, & Compliance:
    • Ensure all required permits and licenses are obtained in a timely manner.
    • Maintain detailed project documentation, including daily logs, change orders, RFI responses, and project close-out documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations as they pertain to electrical construction.
  • Quality Control & Assurance:
    • Monitor the quality of workmanship to ensure it meets company standards and project specifications.
    • Implement quality assurance programs and conduct regular inspections to ensure adherence to safety and performance standards.
  • Project Closeout:
    • Ensure smooth project closeout, including final inspections, punch list completion, and client sign-offs.
    • Prepare project closeout reports and documentation for future reference.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, electrical engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of project management experience in electrical construction, with a proven track record in managing a diverse range of project types.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and construction processes.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and familiarity with CAD and other construction technology tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work well under pressure.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
Work Environment:

Primarily on construction sites with occasional office work.

Fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail and the ability to manage tight deadlines.
