About the Role

Amentum is seeking a seasoned Program Director to oversee the delivery of complex naval ship and systems engineering, maintenance, sustainment, and modernization capabilities to numerous allied navies. As a key member of our team, you will directly support the U.S. Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) International Fleet Support Program Office (PMS 326) to deliver life-cycle support and other follow-on technical solutions (FOTS) and services to eligible allied international naval forces.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Program Management: Oversee the overall operation of the program/contract, ensuring the safety and well-being of employees, safeguarding company funds and property, and representing the company with respect to the PMS 326 client.
  2. Global Workforce Management: Manage a large global workforce to ensure Amentum delivers quality services to all PMS 326 Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customers.
  3. Contract Management: Ensure that established company goals are realized while maintaining client relations that will enhance future business and have total responsibility for managing all aspects of the contract.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Interact with Amentum operations support offices, vendors, subcontractors, and customer representatives as required and develop close working relationships with various business leaders/stakeholders throughout the organization.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 20 years of increasing engineering management responsibility, including 5 years of USG ship or submarine construction or repair/overhaul experience.
  2. Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Experience: Proven experience in coordinating complex work and integrated logistics support (ILS) among various stakeholders both internal to Amentum, among our teaming partners, and with the government customer for PMS 326.
  3. Project Management: Ability to develop and give briefs to multiple levels of stakeholders and ensure that all regulations regarding ITAR/EAR are followed.
  4. Communication and Collaboration: Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with a strong focus on communication and collaboration with various stakeholders.
  5. Travel and Security Clearance: Ability to travel CONUS to Washington, DC Office and other sites and OCONUS, as needed (25%). Ability to obtain a United States Passport and a secret US government clearance. Note: US citizenship is required to obtain a secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification: Certification from the Project Management Institute.
  2. In-Country Recruiting Experience: Experience in hiring and maintaining a local workforce.
