Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our TRiO Upward Bound program. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the program, including program development, staff supervision, and budget management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Develop and implement program plans and strategies to achieve grant objectives and improve student outcomes.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and evaluate program staff, including program coordinators, administrative assistants, and tutors.
  • Budget Management: Manage program budgets, including grant funds, and ensure compliance with federal regulations.
  • Reporting and Compliance: Prepare and submit reports to the Department of Education and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and grant requirements.
  • Community Engagement: Build relationships with community partners, including schools, community organizations, and local businesses, to promote the program and enhance student outcomes.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and professional development opportunities for program staff and community partners to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree: Master's degree in education, counseling, public administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Experience: Minimum of three to five years of experience in staff supervision, budget management, program development, and evaluation, with a focus on federal TRiO programs.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders. Knowledge of federal regulations and grant requirements, with the ability to ensure compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Datatel Colleague: Experience with Datatel Colleague, a student information system.
Working Conditions

The employee will typically work indoors in an environment protected from the weather. Moderate travel may be required. Physical activities include the ability to carry recruitment materials, sometimes weighing up to 40 pounds.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $53,782 - $86,038, depending on skills and experience. The position also offers a range of benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
