About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Underwriting Support Account Manager to join our team at IAT Insurance Group. As an Underwriting Support Account Manager, you will provide day-to-day customer service and support to underwriters, acting as a liaison between the organization and agents. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the needs of our customers are met, while also maintaining a high level of accuracy and productivity in your work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enter new and renewal business into proprietary rating systems.
  • Upload applications using company automated systems and see through to policy issuance.
  • Prepare account service-related documents such as client communications and correspondence.
  • Assist in renewal process, reviewing for accuracy and making requested renewal changes.
  • Process endorsements and audit transactions through communication with agents and underwriters.
  • Process new business declines, non-renewals, and cancellations.
  • Review all company correspondence to ensure applicability to client needs.
  • Maintain account files in accordance with established procedures.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with underwriters and agents.
  • Create and/or provide feedback on project timelines.
  • Answer and process internal information requests.
  • Prepare, submit, and test IT programming requests.
  • Volunteer and participate in projects/assignments as representative for Operations.
  • Improve/refine professional skills through continuing education and maintaining familiarity with industry trends and standards.
  • Assist in training of other employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent (Bachelor degree is preferred).
  • Equivalent is defined as having 4 years of relevant insurance experience.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics and problem-solving techniques.
  • Mastery level PC and keyboarding skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, etc.).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills used for interaction with all levels of associates and/or external sources in a variety of settings.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced; deadline-driven production environment.
  • To qualify, all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require, now or in the future, VISA sponsorship for employment purposes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Underwriting support experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ISO and Commercial Lines Manual preferred.
