The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating information to determine risk acceptability, making appropriate decisions based on underwriting information, and pricing risks per company standards. They will also effectively communicate and negotiate underwriting and pricing decisions to achieve optimal outcomes.

Key qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant commercial Property and Casualty underwriting experience or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to react and respond quickly and professionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluates information to determine risk acceptability in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Makes appropriate decisions based on the evaluation of underwriting information.
  • Prices risks per company standards.
  • Effectively communicates and negotiates underwriting and pricing decisions to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Builds effective working relationships with assigned agency personnel as well as internal company staff.
  • Drives acceptable levels of new business opportunities through effective marketing to assigned agents.
  • Participates in quarterly stewardship meetings with key agents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of relevant commercial Property and Casualty underwriting experience or equivalent.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to react and respond quickly and professionally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excess and Surplus Lines experience.
