Surgical Care Affiliates (SCA) is a dynamic and physician-driven organization that offers a unique environment for nurse professionals to grow and thrive. We are actively seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) PreOp PACU to join our team at Memorial Houston Surgery Center.

About the Role:
This full-time position involves working Monday through Friday shifts, with no weekends or call required. As a RN PreOp PACU, you will be responsible for promoting the mission, vision, and values of SCA while delivering exceptional patient care. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Assessing patients' preoperative and postoperative status, ensuring their cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological systems are stable and well-managed.
  • Interpreting information from various monitors to provide accurate and timely interventions.
  • Developing individualized perianesthesia plans of care, incorporating medications, pain management, and patient education.
  • Preparing patients for recovery from anesthesia, including local, regional, monitored, and general anesthesia techniques.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
  • A graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • At least two years of experience in preoperative or PACU settings.
  • Medical-surgical, ER, or ICU nursing background preferred.
  • Current state licensure to practice nursing within good standing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification when pediatric care is involved.

Compensation and Benefits:
