We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Northwell Health. Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough patient interviews, explain policies and procedures, and review patient charts to ensure accurate and courteous care.
- Assess patients' gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status, and adjust care plans accordingly.
- Communicate and document patients' physiologic health status and care plans.
- Assess patients' psychosocial health status, elicit perceptions of medical/nursing care, and identify cultural/ethnic requirements to reduce anxiety and ensure patient satisfaction.
- Develop patient outcome statements, establish individualized patient goals, and prioritize care activities to achieve expected outcomes.
- Implement care plans, maintain constant vigilance over patient care, and ensure safety precautions are followed.
- Administer medications correctly and safely, and educate patients and significant others about drug and food interactions.
- Participate in patient and family education, provide explanations of patient conditions, and recognize health teaching opportunities.
- Perform related duties as required.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing, required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred.
- Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State, required.
- Specialized certifications, as needed.
- 1-3 years critical care experience, required.
