A successful applicant will be an expert in customer acquisition marketing, capable of achieving ambitious revenue goals while leveraging intricate customer data to guide their strategies. This position demands the ability to manage various projects, create a prioritized roadmap for reporting needs, and coordinate efforts across different business units. The perfect candidate will have substantial experience in designing, managing, and developing dashboards using business intelligence tools and systems.
The Head of Customer Growth will oversee the creation and implementation of a robust performance marketing strategy aimed at maximizing client/user acquisition. You will provide both operational and strategic guidance across various acquisition channels (such as social media, paid search, etc.), creative direction, media purchasing, and strategic oversight of reporting and attribution. This role will collaborate with external agencies and internal teams to analyze performance across key digital channels (including social media platforms and search engines) and translate insights into actionable strategies that enhance results and creative output across our marketing efforts. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer acquisition teams and channels, including but not limited to search, paid social, display, and video. Collaborate with external media partners to brainstorm, test, and implement campaigns across diverse platforms.
- Develop comprehensive and automated reporting for key audience segments.
- Align sales forecasts with weekly/monthly performance metrics for a complete view of how channel-specific initiatives impact overall business performance.
- Create and manage reporting solutions, such as dashboards and portals, utilizing supported business intelligence tools.
- Identify, evaluate, measure, and enhance existing channels to increase revenue while maintaining a strong LTV/CAC ratio and unit economics. Seek opportunities to scale current channels and discover new viable channels for sustained growth.
- Possess a thorough understanding of leading strategies and budgeting across various digital platforms.
- Guide IT teams in implementing site tagging, conversion tracking, and media tagging to ensure seamless data integration from multiple sources.
- Lead the development of various customer models, including lifetime value, segmentation, and behavioral analysis.
- Collaborate with brand marketing and creative teams to create effective messaging and assets for performance channels; work closely with retention and influencer marketing teams for cohesive execution of key initiatives.
- Establish KPIs and success metrics; provide regular performance updates; track and adhere to budgets. Share insights from performance channels with teams to inform future creative and business strategies.
- Develop attribution strategies to assess channel effectiveness.
- Encourage a culture of testing and learning. Execute daily/weekly growth experiments across acquisition channels, including creative and spend scaling tests.
- Work with agencies and teams to set monthly/annual forecasts for channel traffic, sales, spending, and customer metrics, with the agility to adjust tactics based on insights and opportunities.
- Experience in an e-commerce or retail environment or agency is essential.
- 7+ years of experience managing customer acquisition marketing channels and digital advertising, with a focus on Paid Social and Paid Search.
- 7+ years in a relevant data analysis, data science, or digital analytics role, collaborating closely with marketing teams.
- Proficient in analytical tools such as Google Analytics and Excel.
- Experience utilizing RegEx for data pattern identification.
- Background in developing, testing, and implementing data enhancements and database structures for growing organizations.
- Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools.
- Experience collaborating with creative teams to develop concepts and messaging.
- Proven track record of managing paid media programs with specific CPA, LTV, and ROAS KPIs.
- Knowledge of maintaining data documentation and analytics frameworks.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to set and achieve objectives, meet deadlines, and adapt strategies in a fast-paced environment.
- A proactive attitude: capable of working independently and effectively with minimal oversight.
