Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with formal coding education
  • At least 1 year of experience in physician billing or coding
  • Familiarity with ICD-10-CM guidelines and usage
  • Knowledge of HCPCS coding
  • Certification as a Registered Health Information Technologist (RHIT) or similar
  • Certification as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC-P) or equivalent
  • Certification as a Certified Coding Specialist (CCS-P) or equivalent

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect, assess, and document coding information related to CMS Hierarchical Condition Categories (HCC)
  • Collaborate with the Risk Adjustment team to educate providers on coding compliance
  • Work alongside the Coding Leader to ensure compliance and appropriate reimbursement from CMS
  • Contribute to our mission of enhancing healthcare delivery through various responsibilities

Work Environment:

Location: Remote within New York State.
