Job Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Mathematics Teacher to join our team at Explore Schools. As a Mathematics Educator, you will play a vital role in shaping the academic journey of our students and contributing to a collaborative and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and culturally responsive mathematics lessons to students in grades 6-8, promoting academic growth and social-emotional development.
  • Develop and implement unit and lesson plans that align with our shared curriculum, incorporating best practices in mathematics education.
  • Assess student progress, analyze data, and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Foster a positive classroom culture through the use of Responsive Classroom approaches, including morning meetings, teacher language, and interactive modeling.
  • Cultivate relationships with students, colleagues, and parents, prioritizing open communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities, including weekly PD sessions, year-round retreats, and coaching from experienced educators.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics Education or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience teaching mathematics in a middle school setting.
  • New York State Teaching Certification, preferred.
  • Master's Degree in Education, preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines.
