The Kostelic Agency, in partnership with a leading private equity firm, is excited to announce a job opportunity for a Private Equity Business Development Analyst. Our client is a leading private equity firm investing in high-growth, bootstrapped companies across technology and business services. They partner with high conviction owners who want an institutional partner to help them expand and accelerate their vision. Our client is unique in that it sources its deals independently, focusing on themes such as profitable companies with a service orientation component. Recently, they have been exploring areas like language translation businesses, AI-powered firms, and water technology.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Source and qualify new investment opportunities across B2B software, tech-enabled services, managed services, and industrial technology.

2. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, develop compelling investment theses, and identify potential investment opportunities.

3. Initiate outreach and develop relationships with key stakeholders, including entrepreneurs, executives, intermediaries, and other relevant professionals to expand deal flow and sourcing capabilities.

4. Analyze financial statements and other business metrics to evaluate the attractiveness of potential investments.

5. Build and manage a pipeline targeting both platform investments and add-on acquisitions, utilizing CRM software to track progress and key metrics.

6. Provide analytical support and insight to senior investment professionals, including preparation of investment committee memos and presentations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.

2. Knowledge of M&A processes including sourcing and deal structuring.

3. 1-3 years of relevant experience in a financial services organization (preferably a background or knowledge of private equity, investment banking, or relevant sales/business development experience, etc.).

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with external stakeholders and internal team members.

5. Willing to be creative and to take a thoughtful and scrappy approach to developing deal flow.

6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

7. Strong attention to detail and entrepreneurial mindset.

8. Passion for private equity and technology.

9. Driven and self-motivated, with a strong desire to learn and a can-do attitude.

10. Ability to juggle, prioritize, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
