JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a highly skilled SAS Solutions Architect with extensive experience in production support and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 12 years in an architectural role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues reported by the business community regarding production SAS processes.
  • Conduct thorough troubleshooting analysis and implement code fixes for identified problems.
  • Engage effectively in meetings, demonstrating strong communication skills.
  • Monitor SAS servers and processes, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  • Understand and modify existing code, applying necessary production fixes.
  • Utilize SQL with relational databases, preferably Oracle, to support operations.
  • Demonstrate hands-on experience with the SAS EBI suite.
  • Work proficiently in Unix/Linux environments and perform Shell scripting.
  • Oversee SAS server usage through monitoring, reporting, and control measures.
  • Exhibit strong debugging capabilities to identify data and infrastructure issues.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the technology infrastructure across various functions and departments.
  • Possess knowledge of safe and effective support practices.
  • Leverage Grid architecture experience to provide L3 support for the SAS platform.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient in SAS BI on SAS 9.2 and SAS 9.4 Grid platforms, including SAS Connect, SAS/Intranet Server, SAS OLAP Server, SAS Metadata Server, and SAS Object Spawner.
  • Expertise in tuning the SAS Enterprise Business Intelligence Server Platform to enhance server performance.
  • Experience with Oracle databases.
  • Strong grasp of software languages, platforms, tools, and ITIL frameworks, including methodologies such as SDLC and Agile.
