CompensationEstimated Salary Range: $45,000 - $65,000 per year. The actual salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
Job DescriptionThis is a full-time, as-needed position responsible for safely transporting students to and from school. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring Student Safety: Our top priority is the safety of our students. As a Bus Transportation Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe transportation of students, including checking the condition of the bus daily and reporting any defects.
- Maintaining a Clean and Well-Maintained Fleet: You will be responsible for keeping the bus clean both inside and out, especially the lettering and signals.
- Fueling and Maintenance: You will be responsible for keeping the bus at the proper fuel level and ensuring regular maintenance to prevent breakdowns.
- Discipline and Behavior Management: You will need to be able to secure discipline for the purpose of safety and maintain a respectful and orderly behavior among students.
You will also be required to:
- Provide instructions and practice to each route regarding emergency procedures, such as the location, use, and operation of the emergency door, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, and opening window as a means of escape in case of fire or accident.
- Raise your hand if there's something important to tell about the job requirements.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A minimum age of 21 years old.
- Good physical and mental health, free from communicable disease and normal use of both hands, both feet, both eyes, and both ears.
- Certification of the Missouri School Bus Driver Instructor Course.
- Ability to work with students, parents, and professional personnel.
