Position: Compensation and Benefits Manager

Employment Type: Contract to Hire

Salary: $50+ per Hour

Work Schedule: 8 AM - 5 PM **Hybrid Role** - Onsite requirement for certain days, remote work available on others

Role Summary
The Compensation and Benefits Manager oversees payroll operations and ensures compliance with all contractual, fiscal, insurance, and social security regulations related to employee management. This role is critical in a small team that handles payroll across multiple countries, requiring a collaborative individual who understands the dynamics of a compact department.

Key Collaborations
Internally: Legal, Administration, Finance, Accounts, Cost Control, HR, and Compensation & Benefits teams.
Externally: Social Security Institutions, Labor Offices, Auditing teams, and Tax Authorities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Administer payroll processes effectively.
  • Participate in industrial relations discussions pertinent to the role.
  • Collaborate to design and implement local and regional policies in line with company compensation strategies.
  • Ensure timely and accurate payment of salaries, contributions, and taxes related to personnel.
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities concerning audits and notices.
  • Provide insights on compensation, contributions, and fiscal matters to the organization and its employees.
  • Review and analyze current payroll, benefits, and tax procedures to recommend and implement best practices.
  • Maintain systems to reflect the current employee base, ensuring compliance with contracts and standards.
  • Engage with various departments to assess cross-departmental impacts and ensure data integrity.
  • Oversee all activities related to personnel administration and compliance with company pay policies.
  • Ensure data accuracy within payroll systems.
  • Contribute to payroll or time system implementation projects.
  • Handle payroll processing during team absences and manage workload during peak periods.

Scope of Responsibilities
Manage complex systems involving Payroll, Income Tax, Social Security, and Benefits Management on a regional scale, supporting a population of approximately 3,500 employees across the US, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, and Guyana.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
