Underwriter Development Program

The Amwins Access Underwriter Development Program is a 2.5-year professional development program designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed as a Production Underwriter. Through a combination of technical and sales training, on-the-job experience, and mentorship, participants will develop a deep understanding of the insurance industry and the skills required to build and maintain a profitable book of business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a profitable book of new and renewal business through sales and underwriting
  • Prospect for new business by building relationships with retail agents and leveraging traditional and creative marketing strategies
  • Stay up-to-date with new insurance company offers and leverage them to drive business growth
  • Mentor and train new team members

Requirements
  • Higher education preferred
  • Less than 3 years of insurance experience, preferably with no prior underwriting experience

  • Highly motivated and a problem solver
