Program Overview

Amwins Group, Inc. is seeking highly motivated individuals to join our Underwriter Development Program. This 2.5-year professional development program is designed to guide participants through an intensive training process, where candidates will participate in technical and sales workshops, on-the-job training, mentoring, and attendance at industry events. The program is designed to accelerate candidates toward a career as a Production Underwriter at Amwins Access, where they will be responsible for building and maintaining a book of business through Sales and Underwriting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Successfully create and manage a profitable book of new and renewal business (heavily sales focused)
  • Prospect for new business by developing relationships with retail agents through both traditional and creative marketing strategies
  • Remain up to date with new insurance companies' offers and how to leverage them
  • Prospect for new business markets and/or lines to write with sales techniques based in trust and relationship building
  • Mentor and train new team members

Requirements
  • Higher education preferred
  • Less than 3 years of insurance experience, preferred no prior underwriting experience
  • Individuals who desire and can hit metrics throughout the entire training program within a sales environment
