About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fabricator, Round Sling Associate to join our team at American Equipment Holdings. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of various lifting and rigging products, including slings, wire ropes, lifting devices, and rigging hardware.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate and assemble lifting and rigging products, including slings, wire ropes, lifting devices, and rigging hardware, to meet customer specifications and quality standards.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
  • Inspect finished products to verify conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fabricating equipment and tools.
  • Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished products to ensure availability for customer orders.
  • Review and interpret drawings, blueprints, and capacity tables to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
  • Understand and comply with industry codes and specifications related to lifting and rigging equipment.
  • Operate industrial swaging machines, proof testing machines, and forklifts safely and effectively.
  • Attach proper tags and labels to products.
  • Report defective or substandard material supplies or products.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, equipment, and tools, and follow all safety guidelines.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in fabricating and distributing lifting and rigging equipment, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Expertise in fabricating various types of slings, wire ropes, lifting devices, rigging hardware, and other related equipment.
  • Strong understanding of materials used in lifting and rigging applications and their respective properties.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to lifting and rigging equipment.
  • Ability to operate fabricating equipment and tools safely and effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Sewing experience preferred.
