Six Flags Over Georgia is seeking a skilled Fiberglass Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and upkeep of various fiberglass ride components. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Inspect fiberglass ride components for amusement park attractions and identify potential hazards that may endanger guests or employees.
- Perform ride inspection and maintenance programs in accordance with Six Flags standards, manufacturer guidelines, ASTM regulations, and state requirements.
- Maintain and repair fiberglass components, fabricate fiberglass forms, and perform upholstery maintenance.
- Conduct visual and physical inspections of ride components, including upholstery, boats, flotation devices, and vehicle body components.
- Perform basic mechanical repairs of ride vehicle components.
- Inspect and repair fiberglass waterslides.
- Ensure compliance with the Six Flags Water Quality program at Six Flags Hurricane Harbor.
- Inspect pumps, motors, and attraction support structures.
- Respond to work orders and conduct repairs as required to maintain safe park operation.
- Adhere to park policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience in FRP fabrication/repair, polyester, gelcoat, and epoxy lamination.
- Basic mechanical skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to professionally interact with other shops and departments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to clearly and calmly resolve issues in the presence of guests, coworkers, and park management.
- Ability to write, speak, and comprehend English.
- Able to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, bending, standing for long periods, climbing, and working at heights up to 200 ft.
- Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations.
- Ability to work outside in any weather conditions, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid Driver's License and clean DMV report.
- Must be able to pass a Certified Pool Operator (CPO) course within 12 months of hire date or maintain a current license.
- Employees are required to supply their own hand tools.
