Job Summary:

The Medical Center of Aurora is seeking a dedicated and skilled Sonographer I PRN to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols for patients of all ages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform ultrasound procedures in accordance with established protocols and guidelines.
  • Maintain expert technical and patient-care skills to provide high-quality diagnostic results.
  • Be knowledgeable and competent in cleaning and high-level disinfection of ultrasound probes and other equipment.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an AMA-approved Ultrasound School training program or an armed services program that qualifies for approval.
  • Annual competency in cleaning and high-level disinfection of ultrasound probes.
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification.
  • 1 year of recent hospital ultrasound experience preferred.
