Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our products and processes. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Quality Assurance staff and provide technical assistance and insight to ensure compliance with FDA and other applicable regulations.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for customer complaints and internal issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Review analytical data to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance product quality and safety.
  • Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist QA managers with audit preparations, including gathering and reviewing documents, compiling lab reports, and conducting annual training.
  • Execute quality objectives as directed by the Quality Assurance leadership team, ensuring adherence to company policies and programs associated with Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory Compliance.
  • Work with QA staff members to prevent process or product failures and focus on continuous improvement of product quality through the development of quality plans, process controls, and quality training.
  • Assist quality management with document and SOP revisions, issuing, and creation.
  • Assist with internal audits to the BRC and core customer audit standards for all facilities.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree (A.A./A.S.) from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and 3+ years' experience in manufacturing or related environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 4+ years' experience in Quality Assurance systems, including team development and management.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of quality assurance principles, food science, and food safety, SPC and statistics; preferred.
  • Knowledge of Database software, Inventory software, Manufacturing software, Spreadsheet and Word Processing software, QMS system, and Adage/Assistics.
  • Ability to uphold regulatory, company, and customer standards.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with demonstrated multi-tasking and project management skills.
  • Ability to complete required applicable forms in English, which requires the ability to read and write in English.
  • May be required to work long hours and weekends.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable, and team-oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
Working Conditions

Typically sits for extended periods at a computer workstation. May access and work in the manufacturing plant. Office and plant setting. The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, and chemicals. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud when in the production area. May be required to travel to other site locations during the workday. May be required to work weekends to meet department and business demands.

Physical Demands

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Must be able to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to see, talk, hear, touch, feel, and reach with hands and arms. Must be able to frequently walk and stand for short periods of time. Must be able to lift and move up to 35lbs, occasionally lift and move objects up to 50lbs.

Pay Range

USD $65,000.00 - USD $80,000.00 /Yr.
