Overview:


The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist plays a crucial role in the planning, design, execution, and ongoing maintenance of both manual and automated testing for system modifications, whether simple or complex.

This position collaborates closely with various business units at ATI Physical Therapy, as well as with internal or contracted QA teams, to execute and validate test cases based on specified requirements.

It is essential to identify and document any issues prior to implementation to ensure that ATI's offerings adhere to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes manual or automated test cases based on project requirements
  • Engages actively in daily scrum meetings and sprint retrospectives
  • Contributes to backlog grooming sessions to ensure that requirements are testable
  • Identifies defects and meticulously documents test execution outcomes
  • Communicates system change approvals or escalates issues promptly
  • Collaborates with IT Delivery and Engineering teams to sustain testing environments
  • Suggests improvements to QA processes to enhance quality standards or streamline operations
  • Interfaces with management, corporate security, compliance, finance, technology, operations, and vendors

Qualifications:

Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum Experience Required:

  • At least two (2) years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience with test automation
Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and blended methodologies
  • Experience with Azure DevOps and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of API testing
  • Proficiency with Selenium, C#, and NUnit
  • Experience in Behavior-Driven Development using SpecFlow
  • Ability to understand written requirements or design flows from various business units
  • Strong communication skills to express concerns or request clarifications on system change requests
  • Proficient in documenting detailed test cases and results using tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, or Azure DevOps
  • Understanding of Software as a Service and Infrastructure as Code in a cloud-based environment
  • Knowledge of various testing types and strategies, including unit, integration, system, end-user, performance, stress, endurance, non-functional, negative/fuzz, manual, and automated testing
  • Competence in working with SQL databases and writing SQL queries
  • Skilled in utilizing the Microsoft Office product suite, including Access Databases, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint
  • Capable of implementing database changes across multiple testing environments
  • Ability to organize and prioritize testing tasks alongside team members
  • Strong customer service communication skills to interact effectively with ATI employees, vendors, and executive management
