Job Overview

POSITION SUMMARY

The Human Resources (HR) Director is a proactive and innovative leader responsible for overseeing all HR functions at CitySquare. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including the development of a robust recruitment and candidate engagement strategy, guiding new employees through their entire employment journey, and implementing effective employee relations strategies. The HR Director will also serve as a mentor and advisor to team members on the practical application of HR policies, including progressive discipline and termination processes.

In addition, this position involves managing employee benefits and compensation strategies to ensure alignment with industry standards and organizational mission. The HR Director will oversee compliance with federal employment regulations, including Worker’s Compensation, OSHA, COBRA, FLSA, and FMLA. This role will also entail the creation and enforcement of essential policies and procedures, as well as the evaluation and enhancement of employee learning and development initiatives. Maintaining internal HR compliance through proper management of HR documentation and files is also a critical aspect of this position.

Key priorities for the first year include:

  • Evaluation and implementation of HRIS
  • Development of Employee Engagement and Satisfaction Strategies
  • Review and revision of Compensation and Policies
  • Revamping the DEI Committee

The ideal candidate will be passionate about shaping organizational culture and developing strategic initiatives. This role offers significant opportunities for career advancement. Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required; a degree in Human Resources or a related field is preferred.

Experience: 7-10 years of experience in Human Resource management, ideally within a non-profit environment.

Licensure/Certification: PHR or SPHR certification is preferred.

Additional Requirements: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook. Familiarity with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems is essential. Flexibility to work occasional overtime and adjust hours as needed.
