We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) to join our leadership team and help drive our mission forward.
The Opportunity:
As the CHRO, you will serve as a strategic leader, developing and implementing HR initiatives that align with our mission and support our long-term objectives.
You will oversee all aspects of HR management, including recruitment, talent development, compliance, and employee relations, with a focus on fostering an inclusive, equitable, and supportive workplace culture.
The CHRO will play a crucial role in expanding our HR department, mentoring the current HR Manager, and leading efforts to recruit and retain top talent, including new C-level executives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals
- Oversee all aspects of HR management, including recruitment, talent development, compliance, and employee relations
- Foster an inclusive, equitable, and supportive workplace culture
- Expand the HR department and mentor the current HR Manager
- Lead efforts to recruit and retain top talent, including new C-level executives
Requirements:
- 10+ years of HR experience with at least 5 years in senior HR leadership
- Proven commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Strong background in strategic HR leadership, talent management, and compliance
- Ability to align HR strategies with the mission of a nonprofit organization
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certifications (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role, ideally within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience leading DEI initiatives in a professional setting
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, particularly as they apply to nonprofits
- Proven ability to align HR strategies with organizational goals and mission-driven outcomes
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role, ideally within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization

Salary Range:
$85,000.00 – $105,000.00 per year
