We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) to join our leadership team and help drive our mission forward.


The Opportunity:

As the CHRO, you will serve as a strategic leader, developing and implementing HR initiatives that align with our mission and support our long-term objectives.

You will oversee all aspects of HR management, including recruitment, talent development, compliance, and employee relations, with a focus on fostering an inclusive, equitable, and supportive workplace culture.

The CHRO will play a crucial role in expanding our HR department, mentoring the current HR Manager, and leading efforts to recruit and retain top talent, including new C-level executives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies that align with the organization's mission and goals
  • Oversee all aspects of HR management, including recruitment, talent development, compliance, and employee relations
  • Foster an inclusive, equitable, and supportive workplace culture
  • Expand the HR department and mentor the current HR Manager
  • Lead efforts to recruit and retain top talent, including new C-level executives

Requirements:
  • 10+ years of HR experience with at least 5 years in senior HR leadership
  • Proven commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
  • Strong background in strategic HR leadership, talent management, and compliance
  • Ability to align HR strategies with the mission of a nonprofit organization
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree or HR certifications (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP) preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role, ideally within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, with experience leading DEI initiatives in a professional setting
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, particularly as they apply to nonprofits
  • Proven ability to align HR strategies with organizational goals and mission-driven outcomes

Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role, ideally within a nonprofit or mission-driven organization

License/Certification:

Professional In Human Resources (Required)
