Capital Markets Fundraiser: Scaling a Proven Consulting Firm

We are seeking an experienced investment banker to lead a seed-stage capital raise as we scale our infrastructure and services. This role involves developing investor materials, reaching out to high-net-worth investors, and managing the capital raise process in collaboration with our CEO.

This is a remote position with a flexible schedule, offering a success-fee compensation structure with potential for equity participation based on milestones.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to be part of an ambitious growth phase with strong market validation. As Capital Markets Fundraiser, you will spearhead a seed-stage fundraising round, manage investor outreach and negotiation, develop investor materials, and collaborate with our CEO to ensure alignment on goals, strategy, and progress through the fundraising cycle.
- Lead Capital Raise: Develop a compelling investor package and negotiate deal terms with elite, high-net-worth investors.
- Investor Outreach & Negotiation: Target and engage the right investors, leveraging our existing network and marketing material.
- Develop Investor Materials: Refine SMG's assets and create a pitch deck, use of proceeds, financials, and other relevant documents.
- Strategic Planning: Define strategy for fundraising, including identifying optimal deal structures and negotiating terms.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 10+ years of experience in angel, VC, or PE capital markets, with a proven track record of raising capital for early-stage companies.
- An extensive network of connections to elite, high-net-worth investors.
- Active SEC/FINRA broker-dealer licenses in good standing.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- A self-starter who can independently manage the capital raise process and work closely with our CEO.
This role offers a competitive success-fee based compensation structure with potential for equity participation contingent on fundraising milestones. Our estimated salary range is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
