Position Overview
This role is part of the CVS Health Enterprise Identity Services team, responsible for managing a comprehensive big data platform that identifies customers across various engagement channels. The demographic identity information we maintain is crucial for enabling programs that enhance customer safety and access to services. Our objective is to create a reliable and definitive identity data asset that supports all business lines, recognizing that our customers are our most valuable asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the performance and availability of a multi-layered application architecture.
  • Proactively address potential performance issues to prevent disruptions.
  • Advise and lead engineering initiatives aimed at enhancing the platform's resiliency and stability.
  • Conduct performance testing for new developments.
The ideal candidate will have experience with our existing on-premise platform and will transition to focus on observability within a Google Cloud environment. Professional development opportunities will be provided to facilitate this transition. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in GCP and cloud-native tools for product development.

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of 4-5 years of hands-on experience in application performance monitoring using tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, or Splunk.
  • At least 3 years of experience with programming/scripting languages including C#, C++, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, PowerShell, and R, with a focus on current trends.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Load and Performance testing using industry-standard tools like Performance Center or LoadRunner.
  • At least 2 years of experience with defect management tools such as Jira or Rally.
  • 2+ years of experience in an Agile development environment, utilizing DevOps practices like Continuous Integration (CI/CD).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in AppDynamics.
  • Experience and certification in GCP.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for diverse audiences, including executives and technical teams.
  • Familiarity with Master Data Management (MDM) technologies and concepts.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • One year of experience is required for each year of education not completed, in addition to the required years of experience.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected pay range for this position is: $101,000 - $203,940. This range represents the base hourly rate or annual salary for all positions within this job grade. Actual salary offers will vary based on factors such as experience, education, and location. This position is eligible for bonuses, commissions, or short-term incentive programs, in addition to the base salary.
