Job Description

Job Summary:

CAVA is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager Data Engineering to lead our big data engineering team. As a key member of our technology organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying big data pipelines and architectures that empower data-driven decision making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of big data pipelines and architectures.
  • Oversee the selection and implementation of big data technologies and tools.
  • Ensure the big data infrastructure is secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant.
  • Champion data governance best practices and data quality initiatives.
  • Manage and mentor a team of data engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Partner with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into actionable data solutions.
  • Stay up to date on the latest big data trends and technologies, and identify opportunities for innovation.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in big data engineering leadership.
  • Proven experience in designing, developing, and deploying big data pipelines and architectures.
  • In-depth knowledge of big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.) and distributed processing frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data security, and data quality principles.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Experience managing and motivating a team of technical professionals.
