Job Overview

Position Title: Logistics Operations Supervisor

Requirement: Bilingual (Spanish/English)

Summary: In this role, you will provide essential support to the Operations Manager by leading and mentoring a team of associates to achieve departmental objectives in Safety, Service, Quality, and Cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

1. Active Presence:

Maintain a constant presence in your designated area, ensuring clear communication of daily expectations and objectives to team members. Respond promptly to communications as needed.

2. Workflow Management:

Ensure smooth operations by monitoring equipment functionality and addressing any issues that may disrupt workflow.

3. Cleanliness and Organization:

Oversee the cleanliness and organization of your area at the end of each shift, ensuring all pathways are free of obstructions.

4. Operational Knowledge:

Develop a comprehensive understanding of operational tools and processes, and how your role impacts other departments.

5. Team Coordination:

Guide associates through their tasks and facilitate cross-departmental collaboration as necessary.

6. Training and Development:

Ensure new hires are effectively trained by pairing them with experienced team members and following up on their progress.

General Duties
  • Communicate Key Performance Indicators effectively.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Provide training and support to associates.
  • Utilize company values to guide daily operations.
  • Generate reports and communications using Microsoft Office.
  • Promote a culture of safety and cleanliness.
  • Ensure availability of necessary materials for team efficiency.
  • Maintain optimal staffing levels for smooth operations.
  • Address any mechanical or systematic downtime issues promptly.
  • Monitor productivity and provide constructive feedback.
  • Encourage continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of inventory management.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Ensure walkways are clear of products and debris.
  • Communicate any equipment issues to management.
  • Monitor and ensure continuous workflow.
  • Report any incidents to management.
  • Understand operational systems and processes.
